It was Strawberry Days this weekend so the kids and I went down to Pleasant Grove to see the parade this morning. We caught the tail end of the parade, so we were kind of sad we didn't get to see Grandpa Richards...he was riding in the parade this year to promote his high school reunion tonight... he was class president and he and the other officers road in a 50's mercedes convertible wearing their viking helmets...too funny. I did get some cute pictures of the granddaughters in their strawberry outfits though...so cute...and Maya and Brian loved all the candy and free t-shirts. My aunt Rosalie said this is the first year she remembers it raining over Strawberry Days...but it was kind of nice not sweating to death during the parade. The traditional strawberry cones at the Purple Turtle are the best too...but the place was packed... and it was pouring rain by then...so we didn't get our icecream this year...we will just have to wait until next year!
