Maya's First Day of 2nd Grade! Can I tell you how much I *love* Shelley Elementary! They do the cutest things to welcome the kids back to school! Last year it was the red carpet treatment, this year there was a big balloon arch in front of the door with the school colors and the teachers had pom poms and were cheering all the kids on as the kids walked in. A dad/dj played fun songs like Dynamite and the theme song from "Welcome Back Kotter". So fun! And she loves her teacher already! It's going to be a great year! :)
