Mother's Day

My cute husband cleaned my carpets and gave me these beautiful flowers for Mother's Day. Aren't they pretty? He said that the guy that helped him at the flower shop was gay and that's why the arrangement turned out so pretty...haha! He put in some of my favorites-stargazer lillies (like we I had at our wedding and in my bridal bouquet) tulips, bluebells, snowballs, and ferns. Oh my, what a guy! It turned out to be the perfect centerpiece for our mother/daughter brunch on Saturday as well. The Richards girls all got together on Saturday to celebrate and share memories of our mother's and grandmothers as we chowed down on yummy quiche, chicken salad crouissants, Chinese Chicken salad, fresh pineapple, and berry trifle. Then we all got emotional sharing our memories and appreciation for the mothers and grandmothers in our lives. Then of course we had to go shopping afterwards! It turned out to be a really nice day. Then on Sunday Dad and my brother Joel made Sunday dinner for everyone...wow! Thanks guys! You did a great job! Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day! AND whether you are a mother or you don't have children of your own, remember that you make a difference in the lives of others through your influence, encouragement, love, talents, time, and divine gifts.
