Yesterday Toby lost a great friend who served with him as a missionary in the Tennessee Knoxville Mission. John Carter was only 33 years old and was fatally killed in a plane crash in Guatemala. He was doing humanitarian work with some of his co-workers from their company based out of Utah. Our hearts & prayers go out to his family including his wife Lisa & their children. John was a wonderful man, so giving & so much fun to be around-he had such an adventurous spirit. He will be missed by all who were priviledged to know him. We also want to remember another friend as well this month, Jason Prussey, who swam with Toby on the Layton High Swim Team.(Jason was fatally killed in a car accident 10 years ago). John & Jason were great men who gave much during their short lives. We will remember & treasure their friendship always.
CALLED TO SERVE
Called to serve Him, Heavenly King of Glory,
Chosen e'er to witness for his name,
Far and wide we tell the Father's story,
Far and wide his love proclaim.
Onward, ever onward, as we glory in his name;
Onward, ever onward, as we glory in his name;
Forward, pressing forward, as a triumph song we sing.
God our strength will be; press forward ever, Called to serve our King.
Called to know the richness of his blessing- Sons and daughters,
children of a King- Glad of heart, his holy name confessing,
Praises unto him we bring.
Onward, ever onward, as we glory in his name;
Onward, ever onward, as we glory in his name;
Foward, pressing forward, as a triumph song we sing.
God our strength will be; press forward ever, Called to serve our King.
