I just got back from girls weekend in California...we had SOOO much fun! We stayed in Cynthia's Grandma's old house in Long Beach (a cute little cottage that reminded me of my own Grandma's house) tt had a retro kitchen & stove, original wood floors, antique wood carved organ, lace curtains, fireplace, knick knacks and curio cabinets, with a stained glass window of a boat on the ocean in the front door. It had gorgeous calla lilies growing throughout the yard, a lemon tree, ivy...beautiful! We snacked on sweet strawberries all weekend long, went to the best Mexican restaurants (Pedro's & Acapulco) walked on the beach, found lots of treasures in the sand...right Gabriela? Toured the Latin American Museum of Art, shopped Shoreline Village, Ports of Call on Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro, saw 3 lighthouses and cool sea creatures at low tide (3 starfish, a baby octopus, crabs, sea urchins, sea cucumber, and snails) we collected lots of pretty seashells and beach glass for our kids, and we went on a harbor boat ride. We also got pedicures and went to a really cool Frozen Yogurt Place called Yogurtland. Fun times! Can't wait to go again. I love you Cynthia, Gab, and Chrishelle! Thanks for letting me tag along!
